This friday, we are offering Enchiladas Verdes.
Enchiladas Verdes are corn tortillas wrapped around a filling of shredded chicken breast and covered in a tangy, tomatillo sauce.
Tomatillos, sometimes called husk tomatoes, look like green, unripe tomatoes with a dry, leafy husk that wraps around the outside. The color of the fruit is a beautiful bright green. Tomatillos have a slightly more acidic, slightly less sweet flavour than tomatoes, which makes them perfect for cooking, and a favourite in Mexican cuisine.
Our vegatarian option replaces the chicken breast with savory, cooked potato.
Enchiladas come topped with sour cream, onion and grated cheese.
Each order comes with 4 Enchiladas and a side of Mexican red rice.
